Bannockburn anchovies

The Bannockburn Anchovy (Engraulis bannockus) is a delicacy exported far and wide across the Known Worlds. It is reknowned for its hyper-salty flavour, and remarkably furry texture - even the cartiliginous bones are edible.

It is also very large - about the size of an Urth salmon. "Bigger than a Bannockburn Anchovy!" is a common phrase amongst the lower classes of that world.
